WWE SummerSlam 2012 Matches Analyzed

With WWE's Summerslam 2012 just under two weeks away, it's time to look at the PPV matches scheduled so far.  They'll include the Triple Threat for the WWE title, as well as the epic clash between Brock Lesnar and Triple H.

Also recently added to the card is Kane vs. Daniel Bryan.  These two have been in a feud ever since the whole AJ love triangle fiasco.  The two were part of a Fatal Fourway to determine a #1 contender for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on SmackDown, where Bryan knocked Kane into the audience.  Things have escalated over the weeks on Raw, as Kane has attacked Bryan backstage.  This one could be about showing who is less stable mentally, although Bryan has already passed his exam, and fans know Kane wouldn't!  Another factor in this clash could be the fact Charlie Sheen has announced he'll be at SummerSlam, looking for Daniel Bryan.

Alberto Del Rio gets another shot at Sheamus and the World Heavyweight Championship.  Will Del Rio be able to capture this championship for his first reign, or is he simply going to help Dolph Ziggler become champion by beating up The Celtic Warrior enough for a MITB cash-in?  Right now Dolph seems to have his hands full with Chris Jericho, and it wouldn't be surprising if those two end up in a match at SummerSlam as well.  In fact, fans can only hope that this match is added.

The two biggest matches on the card are Big Show vs. John Cena vs. CM Punk in a Triple Threat, and Triple H vs. Brock Lesnar.  The first of those two matches is for the WWE title, while the second will feature Shawn Michaels and Paul Heyman at ringside.  There's no word on whether or not Stephanie McMahon will be around for this one.  However, there seems to be some indication by Brock Lesnar that he's going to go after Michaels.  Will Lesnar stage some sort of home invasion, ala Triple H's attack on Randy Orton?

The other thing that is looking like a possibility is that Brock Lesnar has one major opponent after Triple H: The Undertaker.  It just seems logical in the chain of things, he went against John Cena, then Triple H, and next Undertaker.  That is, unless WWE has plans for Rock vs. Brock in some capacity.  It just seems like Lesnar is back in WWE as a building block to help the top talent continue to look strong.  He would certainly help Taker do that by the Deadman getting another big WrestleMania victory, extending the streak.

As far as the Triple Threat match goes, WWE has teased that The Rock will be looking for a piece of CM Punk.  It's surprising Rock hasn't been heard from yet, but maybe he'll emerge at SummerSlam?  Rock still gets a shot at whoever is champion at the 2013 Royal Rumble, so he may not even appear until closer to then.  That's still over 4 months from now.  In the meantime, could Punk continue one of the most successful reigns in WWE championship history?  Seems like he has been given the solid reign to establish himself as one of the "greatest in the world" for pro wrestling.

Who do you think will win each of the above matches?  Will Charlie Sheen play a part in the Kane vs. Daniel Bryan match?
